Where generative AI truly helps an industrial team

In industry and energy, time is rarely wasted on the machine itself; it's wasted on the paperwork surrounding it. Updating procedures, intervention reports, incident analyses, compliance files, supplier consultations, and lessons learned that are never capitalized on. This is where generative AI saves hours, provided we know what tasks can be entrusted to it and what must remain under human control.

  • Production and methods: writing and harmonizing operating procedures, preparing job instructions, transforming tacit know-how into a procedure usable by a newcomer.
  • Maintenance and operation: structuring an intervention report, finding information in voluminous technical documentation, preparing feedback after an incident.
  • Quality, HSE and compliance: analyze a non-conformity to its root cause, prepare an audit, follow regulatory developments that really affect your facilities.
  • Purchasing and supply chain: comparing offers, preparing a consultation, monitoring the risks of a panel of subcontractors.

What will change in 2026 for industry and energy

The texts are becoming more precise, and the tools are evolving from chat to agents. Our sessions place each use case within its context, so your teams can move forward without exposing the company.

️AI Act, Article 4: Controlling AIHaving become an obligation of means with the omnibus regulation (EU) 2026/1744, controlled by national authorities since August 2, 2026: documenting your training actions remains useful.
⚡Critical infrastructure: the high-risk frontierAnnex III of the AI Act classifies AI used as a security component in electricity, gas, water, or heating networks as high risk. Office applications are not included in this classification, but your teams need to know where the line is drawn.
⚙️Machinery Regulations, January 20, 2027Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 replaces the Machinery Directive and incorporates safety functions with evolving behavior, including those based on machine learning.
🔐NIS 2 and cybersecurityEnergy and manufacturing fall within the scope of the NIS 2 directive: cyber risk management also covers AI tools, their connectors and the data that passes through them.
🧩Agents created without codeCopilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini allow your technicians and engineers to create their own assistants, connected to your procedures and quality repositories.
🚀The delegation of complete worksCopilot Cowork and Claude Cowork they carry out work in several stages, a document review or an audit file for example, with human validation points.

Security, know-how and industrial data

Processes, plans, operating data, supplier prices: a manufacturer's assets often reside in its documents. Our training courses are conducted using tools validated by your organization, with simple rules that each participant applies immediately.

  • Trade secrets and know-how: exercises on reconstructed or public documents, never on your actual plans, processes or contracts.
  • Industrial computing: the uses presented remain on the office side; no generative AI tool is linked to your control systems during the training.
  • Sovereignty: animation possible on an internal assistant, a proprietary hosted model or a European solution, depending on your IT department's policy.
  • Article 4 of the AI Act: training materials and certificates that document your employees' AI proficiency.

To establish a headquarters, factories, and shift teams

Within an industrial group, the target audiences are very diverse: engineers at headquarters, site management, maintenance technicians, and shift workers. The format must reflect this diversity. We roll out the training in short waves, site by site, with internal support staff taking over.

FAQ

Do you also train production and maintenance teams?

Yes. The exercises are based on their working documents: operating procedures to be updated, intervention reports, analysis of a shutdown, safety instructions to be reworded. The one-hour format is scheduled between shifts and repeated to cover all teams, including those working three shifts.

Our processes and data are confidential: how do you manage that?

The exercises are based on your real-life situations, never on your actual data. The practical cases are developed in advance with your mentor using reconstructed or public documents, validated by your security teams, and the company's rules of use are reviewed at the beginning of each session.

Can you animate using our internal AI assistant?

Yes, this is common practice among our industrial clients: at Airbus as well as CNES, all demonstrations are conducted using the secure, in-house tool, with an internal expert co-facilitating the demonstrations. NextStart provides the methodology, use cases, and facilitation.

Our sites are spread across France and abroad: how do you manage that?

We deliver training on-site, remotely, or in a hybrid format, in both French and English. Airbus programs have covered four countries, and Ceva Animal Health's program has been rolled out site by site across eight European countries.

Do our uses of AI fall under the high risk category of the AI Act?

The office skills covered by our training courses—writing, summarizing, document analysis—generally do not fall under this category. Appendix III specifically addresses AI used as a security component for critical infrastructures. We explain this boundary during the session; to define a specific project, our AI Act Kit and the opinion of your legal department remains the reference.

How much does AI training cost for industry or energy?

€1,500 to €2,000 excluding VAT for a half-day session for up to twelve people, €2,000 to €3,000 excluding VAT for a full-day in-house session. Programs across multiple sites and phases, with internal relays and adoption measures, are available upon request, with a sliding scale of prices depending on the volume.

How to finance the training?

The training is eligible for OPCO and ESF+ funding. NextStart is a registered training organization (no. 11756140675): the session is part of your skills development plan, with the agreements and documents expected by your funding body.

What happens after my request?

Flavien Besset will personally respond within 24 business hours with an initial proposal. A 30-minute scoping meeting will then allow us to clarify your sites, teams, tools, and constraints before the detailed proposal and training agreement are finalized.
