Airbus: The GenAI Challenge 2025 on secure internal tools
Six Prompt Party In English, remotely hosted for Airbus teams in France, Germany, Spain, and the UK, with all demonstrations performed live on the group's secure, internal generative AI assistant. 595 participants in five months.
The starting point: a homemade tool, a community to be formed
At Airbus, the question wasn't about choosing a tool: the company had already developed its own secure, in-house hosted generative AI assistant. In 2025, after several months of discussions, Airbus made a specific request: an offer including the Prompt Party to train the challenge community in the use of generative AI capabilities, with a clear constraint: the internal tool already developed. All training therefore had to be done on the in-house tool, in English, remotely, for teams spread across four countries.
NextStart becomes the educational partner for the challenge: weekly preparation meetings, then a dry run before the launch. Initial tests of use cases on the internal tool validate the approach before the first session.
The system: two parts, one rule
NextStart provides the methodology and facilitation; the internal expert for the tool conducts live demonstrations using the company's own tool. No public tools are used.
Trois Prompt Party of discovery
Three two-and-a-half-hour webinars in English, open to the entire challenge community, co-hosted by NextStart with an internal Airbus expert for a tool demonstration. Use cases: searching, writing, summarizing, and analyzing within the context of the group's projects.
Trois Prompt Party Business by sector
A creativity session by business area, applying generative AI to the group's innovation methods: double diamond, innovation matrix, Business Model Canvas. A small format to allow for work in subgroups.
Preparation and measurement
Dry run before each session, participant survey after the introductory sessions, attendance report at the end of the program. Requests for separate beginner and advanced sessions were incorporated into the following program.
Security and compliance
All sessions take place within the framework of confidentiality and security of the group, without any prompts or documents leaving the internal tool.
The measured results
More than 500 participants across the three discovery sessions, with strong visibility of the announcement on the group's intranet.
27, 26 and 25 participants across the three areas of activity, in a restricted format for subgroup work on innovation methods.
Feedback that highlights its value: "Actually one of the best AI-related sessions I've joined"; "It gave a realistic picture of what to do with AI at Airbus. It was well explained with relevant use cases." Suggestions (sessions by level, recording, fewer ancillary tools) informed the next program.
The program sponsor praised the cooperation and the "very good feedback received internally." The collaboration with Airbus has continued since then, with a two-phase acculturation program planned for 2026.
