Alptis: From AI Act compliance to a community of 31 autonomous AI Champions

Alptis: from AI Act compliance to a community of 31 AI Initiators that drive its own Prompt Party

The starting point was regulatory: to train and raise awareness among approximately 800 group employees in response to the AI Act's AI proficiency requirement (section 4). Eleven months later, a launch Masterclass, 31 trained "Impulseurs" (instructors) across three cohorts, 17 Prompt Party Co-facilitated and three professional workshops have established an internal community that now independently facilitates its level 2 workshops. Agent Party understood.

The starting point: a regulatory obligation, a culture to be created

In November 2024, the Talent and Culture department of the Alptis group launched a consultation for AI training. The starting point was regulatory: to train and raise awareness among all group employees about understanding AI, its challenges, advantages, and limitations, in order to comply with the AI Act's (Article 4) requirement to master AI, and to begin establishing an AI culture. The target audience was broad: approximately 800 employees, including those in subsidiaries, spread across Lyon, Paris, Rennes, Beaune, Voiron, Marseille, Bordeaux, and Fort-de-France. The initial request was for a two-hour, remote, and interactive webinar with a clear objective: to identify the uses of AI in the workplace using Microsoft Copilot.

The NextStart proposal shifts the focus: rather than a single awareness campaign, a journey that starts from the obligation to master AI under Article 4 of the AI Act to establish lasting uses, relying on voluntary internal relays.

The project was approved by the management committee in spring 2025, in three parts: Launch Masterclass, training of internal relays and co-facilitation, professional workshops.

The plan: four floors in eleven months

Each stage prepares the next, from mass awareness to the autonomy of internal relays.

01

Launch Masterclass

On June 20, 2025, a webinar broadcast on the intranet and available for replay covered general AI knowledge, the AI Act framework, and initial uses of Copilot. The Masterclass served as a call for volunteers for an internal community of ambassadors, dubbed "Generative AI Drivers" by Alptis: 32 applications were received in three weeks, from all legal entities within the group.

02

Training of the Initiators

In September 2025, three two-half-day virtual classroom sessions will be held: day 1 "AI in everyday life", day 2 "advanced use cases". 31 trainees from Alptis Assurances and its subsidiaries will be trained.

03

Prompt Party co-facilitated and professional workshops

In October 2025, two days in person in Lyon and two days in a virtual classroom: 17 Prompt Party "Research and Writing" sessions lasting 45 minutes to one hour, in groups of eight to fifteen, co-facilitated by a NextStart Initiator and an expert. In parallel, three Prompt Party Half-day in-person training for Commerce, Marketing and Communication.

04

Transition to autonomy

At the beginning of 2026, NextStart designs two level 2 engineering systems (Excel and PowerPoint; Agent Party with creation of agents in Copilot Chat) and delivers an animation brief to the Impulseurs on March 26, 2026. The second wave, at the end of April and the beginning of May 2026, is entirely animated by the Impulseurs, without a NextStart speaker in the room.

The measured results

A community of 31 Inspirers, the main asset

31 relays trained in three cohorts, who co-led 17 Prompt Party level 1 then resumed the level 2 animation on their own. From the first wave, an Impulsor requested a Prompt Party dedicated to developers; by March 2026, one of them had already built three assistants for his own position.

Masterclass: 82% of students received a score of 4 or 5 out of 5.

Approximately 450 participants, 94 survey respondents, 82% of whom gave a score of 4 or 5 out of 5 (average close to 4,0). The main criticism, that the level was considered introductory by those already familiar with the program, precisely fueled the development of the next stage (Impulseurs, level 2).

Jobs that are becoming commonplace

After the session, the Strategy, Marketing and Communication department wrote: "I think the team will be using AI much more starting next week!"

A relationship that continues

The relationship continued in 2026 with two level 2 engineering projects, designed in the spring and run independently by the Impulseurs.

What we take away from this

The AI Act as a starting point

Article 4's requirement to control AI is a budgetary trigger and an opportunity to establish a framework. The process uses it to move towards usage, not just compliance.

The internal relay, under its own name

"Impulseurs" is the name chosen by Alptis. A community that names itself and recruits through calls for volunteers is sustainable.

Delivering engineering, not just animation

Level 2 was delivered as an animation kit with a brief to the Impulseurs: this is what makes autonomy possible and sustainable.

Transforming an AI Act obligation into a community of use

Article 4, raising awareness among all employees, internal relays, autonomy: let's talk about the path adapted to your organization and your subsidiaries.
