ChatGPT Business Usage Analysis Kit: Diagnose the adoption of your space
Upload the exports from the ChatGPT administration console: the analyzer calculates in seconds the activation of your seats, daily usage, the proportion of Chat, Codex and Work, compares your strategies, tracks week-by-week progress and proposes an action plan for each person. Your files remain in your browser.
The ChatGPT Business usage analyzer, in brief
- What it is
- An online tool that transforms exports from the ChatGPT Business administration console into an adoption diagnostic: seat activation, daily usage, distribution between Chat, Codex and Work, comparison of directions, evolution over time and action plan for each person.
- For who
- Owners and administrators of a ChatGPT Business space, AI referents and transformation managers who must report on the use of seats and credits.
- Format
- A web page: the version hosted on nextstart.ai, accessible via a personal link valid for one year, and a version on claude.ai which adds an analysis written by Claude.
- What he calculates
- Activated seats, DAU/MAU ratio, messages per day of use, share of Chat, Codex and Work, weekend share, credits and tokens, intensity profiles, lowest uses, week-by-week evolution and detailed record per person.
- Policy
- The files are read in your browser: no data is sent or stored. A pseudonymized mode hides names on the screen and in exports.
- Price
- Free, in exchange for a professional email address. No unsolicited emails.
- Update
- October 2026 edition, ChatGPT Business console verified on October 31, 2026.
- What it doesn't replace
- Neither the exchange with the people concerned, nor the information of your employee representative bodies if you follow individual practice.
- Go Further
- Copilot Usage Analysis Kit, AI Measurement and ROI Kit, Shadow AI kit, ChatGPT training in companies.
A ChatGPT Business space is managed visually: the console displays curves, but does not tell who has adopted the tool, who has disconnected, which teams switch from Chat to Codex or to Work, nor whether the credits consumed beyond the included amount are justified.
We built this analyzer for our missions to support the deployment of AI assistants. It reads the CSV exports from the console as provided by OpenAI and produces in a few seconds a reasoned diagnosis, by department and by person.
1. What the analyzer measures
| Indicator | A question to which he responds | Calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Seats activated | Were the paid seats used at least once? | Activated seats compared to open seats |
| DAU / MAU | Has ChatGPT become a daily reflex? | Daily active users compared to monthly active users |
| Chat, Codex, Work | Does space extend beyond the simple cat? | Share of messages and active users on each product |
| Intensity profiles | Which is intensive, regular, occasional? | Messages limited to 28 days, adjustable thresholds |
| Credits and tokens | Who consumes beyond what is included? | Ranking of console users and agents |
| Evolution | Is adoption progressing? | Week by week, for the space and for each direction |
The diagnostic automatically classifies the results into strengths, weaknesses and points to monitor, for the entire space or for a direction compared to the rest of the space.
2. Exports to prepare
- Open the ChatGPT administration console (admin.openai.com, or chatgpt.com/admin then "Go to Admin Console"), Usage menu, Overview tab, and choose the period.
- Using the Export button, select CSV format and download Workspace health, DAU by product and Messages.
- For details per person, select only one person in the User filter and re-export the DAU by product and Messages. Repeat for each person to be tracked.
- In Leaderboards, click the Export data button and download the User leaderboard and Agent leaderboard.
- Optionally, prepare an "Email Address; Direction" file for analysis by direction, then drop all files together, without renaming them.
ChatGPT Business does not export a report with a line per person; this feature is reserved for the Enterprise plan. The analyzer therefore combines space curves, curves filtered by person, and the user ranking, which covers everyone in terms of credits and tokens. Individuals without a separate export remain visible, marked as "not detailed."
3. One sheet and one action plan per person
Clicking on a name opens their profile: active days and messages compared to the rest of the team, day-by-day graph by product with weekends indicated, longest streak and longest break, trend between the two halves of the period, start and end dates of use of Chat, Codex and Work, credits, tokens and lines of code, agents created.
- High priority: unused seat, recent drop in activity, lack of daily ritual.
- Medium priority: exchanges too short, Codex or Work neglected, credits to manage, use limited to chat.
- Opportunity: product to try, agent to share, person to approach as an ambassador.
Each action is justified by a statistic and formulated concretely, for example, "relaunch Codex: used 8 days from October 8th to 20th, nothing for the last 10 days." The list of the lowest usage and the complete details are exported as a CSV file along with each user's action plan.
4. Planned tasks, corrected
A scheduled task or recurring agent counts as an active day every day, including weekends, even when the user is no longer using it. The analyzer detects mechanical patterns (at least seven consecutive days with one or two messages) and allows the task to be declared: its messages are removed day by day, and the active days are recalculated exactly.

6. Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data being sent to NextStart.AI?
No. The files are read in your browser and do not leave your computer: no data is sent or stored. In the version on claude.ai, the written analysis sends Claude pseudonymized numbers, never names or addresses, and only if you click the button.
Where can I find ChatGPT Business usage statistics?
In the ChatGPT administration console, go to the Usage menu, then the Overview tab, and finally Leaderboards to view user and agent rankings. The Export button downloads each chart as a CSV file. Users must be the owner or administrator of the space.
Why is one export per person necessary?
ChatGPT Business does not export reports with one line per person; this is reserved for the Enterprise plan. The User filter in the Overview tab displays a person's graphs: two exports per person are sufficient for their complete profile. Even without these exports, the user ranking already shows who consumes what.
Can we track the evolution over time?
Yes. The analyzer displays the evolution week by week, and accumulates several months if you upload exports from successive periods together.
Is it permitted to track individual ChatGPT usage?
Monitoring the use of a tool provided by the employer is common practice, but it must be proportionate and transparent: inform individuals, and your employee representatives if the individual monitoring is part of an evaluation process. The analyzer's pseudonymized mode allows for anonymous data collection.
Does the analyzer work for Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Yes, with the Copilot Usage Analysis Kit, designed for exports from the Microsoft 365 admin center. Both analyzers follow the same diagnostic logic.
Is access free?
Yes, in exchange for a professional email address that will only be used to send you the access link. No unsolicited emails.
